Start with the entity you actually represent
A dental clinic, an individual clinician and a marketing agency are different entities. The structured data should describe the real organization and the content of the page. A marketing agency serving dentists should not mark itself as a dental practice simply to associate its website with dental terms.
For a clinic, business information must be accurate and consistent with the visible website. The same principle applies to services, people and articles. Structured data should not introduce an address, credential, rating or claim that visitors cannot verify on the page.
Understand what Google says about AI features
Google's guidance for AI Overviews and AI Mode says that established SEO practices continue to apply. Pages need to be eligible for Search and useful to people. There is no special AI schema or additional AI file required to appear as a supporting link in those experiences.
That makes the practical priorities familiar: allow crawling where intended, connect important pages with internal links, provide meaningful text and keep structured data aligned with visible content. Useful images and video can add context when they genuinely help answer the question.
A concise answer at the start of a section can help readers understand the topic. It should lead into sufficient context, limitations and a relevant next step. Repeating a short answer across dozens of city pages does not create distinctive expertise.
Separate useful FAQs from rich-result promises
Frequently asked questions are useful when they answer questions visitors actually have. Search features and eligibility can change, so FAQ markup should not be sold as a guaranteed enhancement. An agency should not assume that serving dental practices gives its own website special healthcare eligibility.
The decision to include an FAQ should therefore be editorial. If an answer belongs naturally in a service page, put it there. Avoid adding repetitive questions solely to produce more markup. Validate any structured data and review it whenever the visible page changes.
Measure what the tools can support
Google includes activity from its AI search features in Search Console's overall Web reporting. That means the report does not automatically provide a separate, complete AI visibility score. Other platforms may expose referral traffic, but missing referral information is not proof that no one encountered the brand.
Use indexing, relevant queries, landing-page engagement and inquiry outcomes as practical evidence. Treat manual AI-response checks as observations, with the date and question recorded. They are not a promise that the same response will appear for another person.
The strongest editorial process assigns a knowledgeable reviewer, cites relevant sources and updates information when it changes. Those habits support trust across discovery channels without claiming control over which sources an AI system selects.
