Give important content an owner
Start with the facts a visitor needs: services, clinicians, genuine locations, contact details, hours and the consultation process. Assign a practice owner to confirm each set of information. Clinical statements need review by someone qualified to approve them.
Check whether images represent the actual team and practice. When illustrative photography is used, it should not imply a specific facility, result or staff member. Write alternative text for meaningful images and avoid describing decorative graphics as if they add clinical information.
Remove placeholder statistics, unverified awards and sample testimonials before launch. A polished design does not make unsupported proof acceptable.
Follow the main journey on a phone
Read the homepage, open a service page and try to contact the practice. Check text size, navigation, visible focus, form labels and error messages. A visitor should not need to guess which control opens the menu or what will happen after submitting a request.
Review images for unnecessary size and layout movement. Make sure key information remains available without depending on a decorative interaction. Test the most important pages and contact paths on the devices your audience actually uses.
Confirm that inquiries reach the team
Send a controlled test through every live form or chat route. Confirm the destination, notification, confirmation message and owner. Distinguish a request for an appointment from a confirmed booking in both the website copy and the internal workflow.
Collect only information needed for the form's purpose. A general inquiry should direct sensitive patient information to an appropriate approved channel. If an integration fails, staff need to know where the message goes and how the failure becomes visible.
- Verify contact links and booking destinations.
- Check required fields, errors and successful submission states.
- Confirm location-specific routing where applicable.
- Review analytics events without sending sensitive information.
Protect useful URLs and verify discovery
Inventory the existing site's useful pages before changing addresses. Preserve URLs where practical. When a page moves, use a permanent redirect to a relevant replacement and update internal links. Do not use the homepage as the default destination for unrelated retired content.
Review page titles, canonical URLs, robots settings and the sitemap in the production environment. A staging setting that prevents indexing can undermine an otherwise finished launch. Confirm the correct analytics property and Search Console access without creating unnecessary duplicate tracking.
After launch, check priority pages, redirect destinations and inquiry delivery again. Monitor search and conversion information with the expected limits of a site migration in mind. Document who owns maintenance, content updates and incident response so that the website remains useful after the project closes.
